Publishers (Part 1)

Here you will find a list of publishing houses that work with fantasy writers. This list will continue to grow if/when I find more to add.

For this page, I have made two separate lists - ones that take submissions and ones that appear not to. Although I have been able to provide information for each publisher, you will need to go on their websites to read their full details. Quick note: if a publisher does not specify which countries they take submissions from, then my advice would be to assume they take international submissions (approach it with an if-you-don’t-ask-you-don’t-know mentality). I would also say that this applies to any publishers that do not clarify whether they accept only ‘solicited’ (recommended and sent in by an agent) or ‘unsolicited’ (sent in by the writer, themselves) submissions. In addition, a review period is exactly how it sounds: it is how long a publisher will take to confirm their acceptance or rejection of your manuscript.

I will try to keep these updated regarding when they are open or closed to submissions, but I may not do this as often as I want to due to other responsibilities. Therefore, please check each publishers’ website before submitting.
