Day 56 - No invisibility cloak here!

Good Monday,Today I feel like being vulnerable with you - not an urge many of us get often - so thought I would share with you a look into my writing mind. Throughout the lockdown period, and now during post-lockdown, I have been trying desperately to get out of my three-year creative/writing slump. Just over a month ago, on the 8th August 2020, I attempted an exercise (having already tried others) to stimulate a breakthrough. This task involved keeping a notepad page open (either a virtual or physical one) and writing every single thought that came into my head during a writing task. I wasn’t able to write creatively, so I worked on details for the characters in one of my current novels-in-progress instead. The exercise lasted only 46 minutes. I have posted the results below. Days 31 to 45 - Where does the time go? Think the boggart drugged my tea with sleeping draught!

Hello readers,Where have the past 14 days gone? Seems time is just flying by during this pandemic - fingers crossed next year is better! Well, let’s see, last week was mine and my partner’s 9 year anniversary and so we both took the week off of work. We were meant to go to London for a few days to visit most of the museums (neither of us have been since we were children) as we are huge history nuts, however, we didn’t feel secure going anymore due to the pandemic and, well, we weren’t even sure the museums would be back open again so soon. Instead, we spent most of one of the days at Avebury which is full of Neolithic sites (standing stones, Silsbury hill, barrows etc.) which satisfied our hunger for history, at least for that week. We then spent the rest of the week going places and/or having relaxing duvet days (we pull out the sofa bed downstairs, bring down the duvet from our bed, and watch films or TV shows for the entire day) so, all in all, a good week.During last week, I took…
